Saints' Calendar - Week 11 of Ordinary Time

18.6.21 SS Mark and Marcellian

This week's calendar is taken from Catholic Saints. Click here for their main page or on each saint mentioned above to see the full list for each day.

120 years ago this year, Hilaire Belloc made his famous pilgrimage to Rome. Starting on 4th June 1901, he arrived in the Eternal City three weeks later on the 29th - the Feast of SS Peter and Paul. I am currently 'live tweeting' his journey over at @Finding__Belloc.

Please pray for the emergency services, and all whose work puts them at increased risk of catching the virus - for their safe keeping also
Please pray for the repose of the souls of those who have died - Requiescant in Pace
Please pray for the bereaved - that God may grant them His consolation
Please pray for the scientists and those helping them as they work on a cure - for their wisdom and guidance
On 8th December 2020, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the first coronavirus vaccine was administered to patients in the U.K. We give thanks for the scientists whose hard work allowed this to happen - In the weeks and months ahead, may the vaccines be administered quickly and fairly to all. We ask Our Lady's intercession in this prayer

'[Jesus] got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.'
